JFA, Pro Company sign business partnership agreement

Jordan Football Association (JFA) on Wednesday signed an agreement with Pro Company, an internationally integrated sports, media, talent, arts and entertainment marketing agency, to manage commercial and TV rights of national football team competitions, until June 2024. Under the agreement, Pro Company will become the JFA’s business partner to manage the commercial and TV rights for the upcoming Al Nashami friendly matches, international quadruple championship, 2nd round of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification competitions, 2027 Asian Cup, and 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualification. JFA Secretary-General, Samar Nassar, said the partnership agreement with Pro Company comes as an extension of the association’s comprehensive commercial strategy launched two years ago, and aims to boost its financial resources and expand income sources on a “larger” scale. Meanwhile, Pro Company General Manager, Yousef Khafaji, expressed happiness at signing the agreement, which reflects the joint aspirations and achieves the common goals on the commercial and TV broadcasting levels.

Syrian Olympic football team loses 3-0 to Saudi counterpart in friendly match

The Saudi Arabia National Football team beat the Syrian team 3-0 in the preparatory match on Monday at Damac Club stadium in Abha, Saudi Arabia.

This match comes as a part of training camp of the Syrian team organized in Saudi Arabia in preparation for the U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers, which will be held in September from 6th till 12th in Jordan.

Syria’s Parasports player, shadi Issa, qualifies for Asian championship in china

Shadi Issa, Syria’s Parasports player, qualified for the Asian competition to be held next month in the Chinese city of Hangzhou.

Issa won the forth place in the World Paralympic weightlifting being held in Dubai.

The Syrian player achieved the fourth place in total lifts at the World Championship in Dubai. He came seventh in the overall standings with a lift of 181 kg.

Syria wins 5 Bronze medals in Arab Youth Muaythai Championship 2023

Syrian Youth Muaythai team gained 5 bronze medals at the Arab Youth Muaythai Championship 2023 held recently at the Libyan capital of Tripoli.

200 players representing 15 Arab countries took part in the Championship which has concluded its activities on Sunday.

Sally al-Raei, 51 Kg, Haneen Ali, 57 Kg, Rachael Bufroud, 45 Kg, Tarek al-Wahaibi, 60 Kg, and Ali al-Khatib, 67 Kg won the Bronze medals of the championship.

Libya, UAE, Morocco, Iraq, Palestine, Jordon, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen, Lebanon, Kuwait, Mauritania, Algeria and Tunisia participated in this tournament, in addition to Syria.

13 Syrian teams to participate at ACPC

13 Syrian teams from state and private universities have qualified for Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC) for the year 2023, scheduled to be held in Egypt during the month of November.

“The Syrian universities outranked many countries in this championship, as the Syrian teams realized scientific achievements, whether at the local or Arab level” Dr. Tariq Barakat, representative of the regional director of the competition in the Arab world and North Africa said, pointing to the efforts exerted by Damascus University in terms of scientific and administrative organizing in order to make this distinguished scientific case a success.

Syria obtains bronze medal at World Para Powerlifting Championship

Syrian Parasports player , Noura Baddour, obtained bronze medal at World Paralympic Powerlifting Championship, being held in Dubai.

Baddour achieved three correct lifts and ranked the 3rd place in the total lifts behind the Chinese world champion who won the first place and the gold medal and a Ukrainian player who obtained the silver medal.

Baddour came in the eighth place in the final overall standings.
