Syrian-Emirati talks to discuss prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries


Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Mohammad Samer al-Khalil, discussed during his meeting Thursday with the U.A.E Ambassador Hassan Ahmed al-Shehhi , the importance of the role of the private sector in activating the intra-Syrian-Emirati trade movement.

Minister Al-Khalil stressed the importance of economic relations between the two countries and the prospects for their development, noting the development policies pursued by the UAE government and its efforts to achieve economic diversification.

For his part, the Emirati ambassador drew attention to the bilateral ties between the two countries, stressing the UAE’s keenness to strengthen and develop joint relations in the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

During the meeting, an invitation was delivered from the Emirati side to Minister Al-Khalil to attend the 13th edition of the AIM 2024 (Annual Investment Meeting), which will be held from May 7 to 9, 2024 in Abu Dhabi, under the theme’ Adapting to a changing investment landscape: harnessing new p

HRH Princess Lalla Meryem Chairs Board of FAR Social Works

In execution of the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem, President of the Social Works of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), chaired, Friday at the FAR General Staff headquarters, the Board of the FAR Social Works.

Upon her arrival at the General Staff, Her Royal Highness was greeted by Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the FAR, Commander of the South Zone and President Delegate of the Board of the FAR Social Works, before reviewing a detachment of the FAR Headquarters Battalion. Her Royal Highness was then greeted by the members of the Board of the FAR Social Works, said the FAR General Staff in a statement.

The meeting was attended by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of National Defense Administration, Lieutenant General Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the South Zone, Lieutenant General Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, and members of the
Board of the FAR Social Works.

During the meeting, the Colonel-Major, Head of the General Directorate of Social Services, reported on the various services provided over the past year to beneficiaries of the FAR Social Works, including support actions for peacekeeping operations, pilgrimage and participation in the Marhaba operation to welcome Moroccans living abroad.

The action plan also covered medical and social services to back people with disabilities and parents of autistic children, as well as solidarity and relief measures taken to support victims of the Al Haouz earthquake.

At the end of the meeting, the Board examined the moral and financial report, as well as the 2024-2026 action plan, before approving the budget required for its implementation.

The regular holding of Board meetings, under the effective chairmanship of HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, illustrates the High Solicitude with which His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, surrounds FAR members and their families.

tinos commended the joint decision of Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup, underscoring the strategic importance of the relationship with Morocco beyond mere geographical proximity.

Coastal municipalities restart water in Jabalia

The Coastal Municipalities Water Utility contracted with a local contractor, ‘Bellavicia Company,’ to repair private works in the water supply and sewage system in the city of Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip, with funding from the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The Authority said that through this project, heavy machinery and manpower will be rented to complete the repair of water and sewage networks and repair of some facilities, in order to provide residents with water and sewage services, especially in light of the continuing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

Senate Speaker delivers speech in Istanbul during Parliamentarians for Jerusalem conference

Amman: Senate Speaker Faisal Al-Fayez said that the Israeli occupation state and its allies need to understand that Palestinian blood is precious and that no Palestinian kid will ever be pardoned for it.

He continued, “The Palestinian people will continue to struggle for their freedom, independence, and legitimate rights, no matter how much pure blood they pay, supported by the free people of the world who believe in noble human values, and not according to whims and interests, and the policy of double standards.”

This was said by Al-Fayez in a speech given at the opening of the 5th Conference of the League of Parliamentarians for Jerusalem held in Istanbul, which is being held under the theme “Freedom and Independence for Palestine.”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was present as the conference got underway in Istanbul on Friday.

A statement issued by the Senate said that hundreds of legislators and politicians from around the world, as well as heads of Senates, Senate Councils, and legislative as

He clarified that the United States and the West as a whole have commercial and economic ties to Arab and Islamic nations, and that in order to stop Israeli aggression and encourage the world community to recognize Palestine as a free and independent state, these ties must be exploited.
