Washington (AFP) – A 22-year-old Ukrainian arrested in Poland has been indicted in the United States as part of a global operation against ransomware attacks, including the high-profile July hack of IT software company Kaseya, officials said Monday. Yaroslav Vasinskyi, who was detained in Poland on October 8, was the most prominent of several people whose arrests were announced on Monday by US and European authorities. World Bank chief says Afghanistan aid resumption unlikely

Troops repel ISWAP attack on military base in Borno

On Monday afternoon, November 8, troops repelled an attack on a military base in Tamsukawu, a community in the Kaga local government of Borno state. Terrorists from the Islamic State of West Africa Province are suspected of carrying out the attack (ISWAP). The military was able to resist the attack, although it is yet unknown whether any people were injured. The attack on Monday was the second in a week in the same area. After the mass tragedy at NRG Park last Friday night, American musician Travis Scott is offering full refunds to anyone who purchased Astroworld Festival tickets.
