Over 170 injured in Sudan anti-coup protests: medics

At least 172 civilians were injured during Monday’s anti-coup demonstrations across Sudan, the Central Committee of Sudan Doctors said in a statement on Tuesday. Sudanese security forces fired tear gas at protesters, causing the majority of injuries, as stun grenades and live ammunition also left many of those in attendance wounded, the committee stated.
