NIHR participates in panel discussion on children’s rights

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) participated in the virtual discussion seminar launched by the Public Prosecution on “Civil Society Contributions to Achieving the Best Interests of the Child and Alternative Punishments” under the patronage of Attorney General Dr. Ali bin Fadhul Al-Buainain, with the participation of a number of Public Prosecution members and representatives from Interior Ministry, Labor and Social Development Ministry, Education Ministry and a number of civil society organizations.

NIHR’s Council of Commissioners member Dr. Bader Muhammad Adel, expressed the institution’s appreciation for the tireless work carried out by the judiciary and the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry to promote and protect the human rights system in the Kingdom, especially in the field of justice for children.

On behalf of the President of NIHR Ali Al Derazi, Dr. Bader affirmed the institution’s keenness to protect and promote human rights in general and children rights in particular, pointing to the importance of organizing a number of events like awareness lectures and community service projects to raise the awareness among children and involving them in carrying out useful actions that benefit them and society as a whole.
