A Ukrainian terrorist cell that was planning to carry out terrorist attacks in the city of Novaya Kakhovka was exposed, Acting Governor of Kherson region Vladimir Saldo said.
“Investigation measures today resulted in exposure of a Ukrainian terrorist cell that planned terror attacks in public places of Novaya Kakhovka. Caches containing large amounts of explosives have been discovered. The explosives were seized and destroyed,” Saldo was quoted by Novosti as saying on his Telegram channel.
He noted that, according to the investigation, the terror attacks aimed for mass murder of civilians in order to discredit the state order. He did not provide any further details.

Five army personnel were injured in an Israeli act of aggression with missiles that targeted some sites in Homs central province and its countryside.
“At around 00:35 a.m. on Sunday, the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial act of aggression from the direction of northeastern Beirut, targeting some sites in the city of Homs and its countryside,” a military source said in a statement to SANA.
The source added “Our air defenses intercepted the missiles and shot down some of them, and the aggression resulted in the injury of five army personnel and some material damages.”

Today, Sunday, the Iranian navy sent a warning to an American spy plane in the Sea of Oman, according to “Russia Today” news agency. The public relations of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran said: “A few minutes ago, after the American navy EP-3E plane entered the country’s borders in the sea of Oman, the army naval forces issued a warning to this plane to prevent it from entering without permission, and prevented it from entering the country’s airspace.” The public relations unit added that after receiving the warning message, the plane left the country’s air borders and returned to international airlines.

The Anatolia Agency reported that the Turkish city of Antalya received nearly 8,000 tourists during the first 3 months of this year, according to “Novosti” news agency. The Culture and Square Authority of the Antalya Governor Office explained that the city’s airports received between the first of January to March 31, 2023, more than 797 thousand tourists, at the beginning of a promising year for the tourism season, compared to the first 3 months of the year 2019, where the airports received at the time 579,478 tourists. It should be noted that the largest number of tourists coming to Turkey during this period are the Russians, at a rate of 213,101 thousand tourists, followed by the Germans at a rate of 169,228 thousand tourists, followed by the British at a rate of 88,572 thousand tourists. Member of the “Democratic Gathering” Bloc, MP Wael Abu Faour, descirbed the recent visit of Progressive Socialist Party Chief, Walid Jumblatt, to Paris as “good” and that “discussion was deep and important”. He added: “We are pursuing our contacts at home and abroad.” He considered that “there is nothing fast and we hope that things will advance, and at least everyone is placing their papers on the table, and Walid Jumblatt has no intention in what he is doing exept a single goal, namely to get out of this situation in which we live and the misery that the Lebanese citizens are enduring…” Abu Faour’s words came during his patronage of a reconciliation in the town of Al -Suwairi on Sunday, where he hoped that “the spirit of reconciliation, pardon, tolerance and brotherhood would prevail in the country.” “The only solution is to elect a president for the republic,” Abu Faour asserted, noting that “Walid Jumblatt is seeking through his internal and external contacts, and will continue in his endeavor internally and externally, to get the country out of the crisis, to find a president of the republic.” He went on, “We know that the future president must be a consensus president agreed upon by most of the parliament members, if not all, and to be reformist and rescue president; and to possess two characteristics, the first is to be capable of gathering the Lebanese, and the second is to be able to rectify Lebanon’s relationship with the Arab countries, because without the Arabs, there is no rescue or identity.” “It is not only a matter of economic rescue, but this is our identity and this is our affiliation,” Abu Faour underlined.
