Health minister, Awqaf Palestinian minister discuss health cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Health Minister Hassan al-Ghabbash discussed with Palestinian Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs Hatem Al-Bakri, and the accompanying delegation ways of strengthening cooperation and the situation of the Syrian health sector after the earthquake hit the country on February 6th.

Ghabbash pointed out that delegation’s visit constitutes a great value and indicates the depth of mutual relations between the two brotherly countries.

Al-Bakri, in his turn, said that Syria have been always present in all Palestinians affairs and provided support to the Palestinian people.

A number of topics concerning the health sector in Syria and mechanism for cooperation on an ongoing basis in this regard were discussed, Al-Bakri added.

Hilal , Rochdi discuss plan to respond to quake repercussions

Lattakia, SANA-The Governor of Lattakia Amer Hilal discussed with the Deputy Special Envoy of the United Nations for Syria Najat Rochdi, and the accompanying delegation, action plan to face the repercussions of the earthquake, and response program for the affected families.

The Governor briefed Rochdi on the extent of the damage caused by the earthquake, the human and properties losses in addition to the great challenges imposed by the circumstances of the terrorist war on Syria and the siege and unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people, such as a shortage of relief equipment and supplies, which also reflected negatively on the health sector.

He emphasized that work is underway to coordinate with the government bodies ,supporters , and the friends to provide alternative housing for those affected.

For her part, Rochdi affirmed the continuation of the support provided to Syria to face the repercussions of the earthquake and find solutions that help families return to their normal lives, praising the efforts made by the governorate and its cadres with those affected, particularly in shelter centers.

Mikdad, Al Mazrooei discuss exchanging expertise to support agricultural development in Syria and the region

Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad discussed with Chairman of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), Mohamed Bin Obaid Al Mazrouei and the accompanying delegation exchanging expertise and establishing joint projects to support the agricultural development in Syria and the region.

Mikdad pointed out the negative repercussions of the terrorist war on Syria and its impacts on all economic fields in the country, especially the agriculture field.

Mikdad noted the importance of Arab national institutions in achieving economic development and the need to pay attention to the food security of all Arab countries.

the both sides discussed the risks of the coercive measures on the development and investment in Syria and the Arab world.

Al Mazrouei underlined the importance of this visit because of Syria’s potentials, sources and strategic location, as well as the importance of achieving agricultural integration among Arab States and implementing the Arab Food Security Initiative.

Gargash: The UAE’s approach to Syria is part of a broader vision to boost Arab and regional stability

Abu Dhabi, SANA- Diplomatic advisor to the United Arab Emirates President. Dr.Anwar Bin Muhammad Gargash , affirmed that the UAE’s approach and its efforts towards Syria are part of a broader approach aimed at boosting Arab and regional stability.

“The UAE’s stance is clear regarding the need for Syria to return to its environment through activating the Arab role, and this was confirmed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed during his meeting today with President Bashar al -Assad,” Gargash said via his Twitter account.

He noted that the time has come to enhance the cooperation and solidarity of Arab countries to ensure stability and prosperity in the region.

Arab parties: Boosting ties between brotherly Arab countries and helping to resolve their internal differences

Damascus, SANA- Participants in the 63rd Extraordinary Conference of the General Secretariat of Arab Parties called on the parties participating in the conference and active on the ground to contribute to strengthen ties between brotherly Arab countries, and help resolve their internal differences.

In their concluding statement released on Sunday today, the participants said: “In an international and Arab circumstance characterized by radical changes that promise the establishment of more balanced international relations, and open new horizons for an active Arab presence, Damascus, the capital of Arabism, hosted the work of the 63rd Extraordinary Conference of the General Secretariat of Arab Parties , which opened with a meeting with the great Arab leader, Mr. President Bashar Al-Assad, was distinguished by hospitality, frankness, and in-depth and constructive dialogue on all topics and issues.

The statement added: “The meeting with President al-Assad constituted an important opportunity to exchange visions and ideas, and the participants appreciated Syria’s legendary steadfastness in the face of the brutal aggression against its land and people, and its victory over all attempts to destabilize its entity and undermine its sovereignty , they pointed out that the series of victories achieved in Palestine Lebanon and Syria constituted a shining beacon in the course of the advancement of the Arab nation,”.

The statement pointed out that the meeting also dealt with the issue of the repercussions of the new international situation on Arab policies, and the positive developments that lead to it, including the recent development on relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran.

The General Secretariat affirmed its support for the Palestinian people and their resistance in the face of the Zionist enemy, and its strong condemnation of the crimes and massacres it commit, renewing the call to boycott it, expel it from all international parliaments.

In the concluding statement, the General Secretariat appreciated the sacrifices of the martyrs and prisoners of Palestine, and called for confronting with all forms of resistance to the enemy’s project aimed at erasing the Palestinian identity, and targeting the existence of the Palestinian people and their national rights.

The statement denounced the blockade on Lebanon, stressing that the crises it is facing today is nothing but a continuation of the American project to establish a new Middle East, and a clear reflection of the American political and economic pressures aimed at besieging the resistance.

It called for a broad national consensus in Libya that preserves its unity of land and people, contributes to preserving its independence and sovereignty, and lays the foundations for achieving progress and prosperity.

The statement called for preserving Yemen’s unity, independence and sovereignty, lifting the blockade on it, and stopping the attacks against it, and called on the Yemeni parties to dialogue leading to a political settlement that achieves lasting peace.

It expressed deep concern about external interference in Sudanese affairs that delayed the democratic transition process, calling for allowing the Sudanese people to choose governance according to their will.

The statement called for a comprehensive national dialogue in Bahrain to address the difficulties facing the country, which pose a threat to its security and prosperity.

DRUZE SHEIKH AL-AQL MEETS WITH “KAYSID” DELEGATION: FOR PRESERVING A HOMELAND OF PLURALISM, CITIZENSHIP THAT EMBRACES DIVERSITY

Druze Sheikh Al-Aql, Sami Abil-Muna, called today for ‘preserving Lebanon as a model of pluralism and citizenship that embraces diversity,” adding that “this is the message of the Druze unitarians who do not have any factional projects, but rather their project is the unifying homeland and the one human being.’ He also stressed on ‘common values that unite religions and their preservation.’ Abil-Muna’s words came during his reception at the Druze Dar El-Taefa in Beirut, the delegation of the “Arab Dialogue Platform” affiliated with the “Kaysid” Center – King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Dialogue of Religions and Cultures. The visit was an occasion to welcome the delegation to the ‘Dar Al-Muwahhidun Al-Druze,” which endorses dialogue and convergence between all, and is the mediation place for caring and connecting between members of all sects. He said: “This is our history since our Arab Muslim ancestors came to this country, to protect the Arab-Islamic frontiers since the eighth century AD and afterwards, on a defensive mission, and they made many sacrifices, and our message was and still is communication, openness, and steadfastness in the land.” Addressing the delegation, Abil-Miuna continued, “Welcome to this country, which is a model of pluralism and diversity in unity, and we have called it citizenship that embraces diversity, and this is our message: respect for citizenship and upbringing on its values, and we have participated in carrying this message to the forums, especially since the monotheists do not have any factional projects at the national or religious level, but rather their goal is the homeland and the people.’
