Caretaker Minister of Information Ziad Makary on Tuesday left Lebanon to Kuwait to partake in the 98th meeting off the Standing Committee for Arab Media. 13 items are included on the two-day meeting’s agenda, including the Palestinian Cause, the role of Arab media in confronting terrorism and the Arab media roadmap for sustainable development.

A force from the 2nd Regiment of the 97th Infantry Brigade affiliated to the Maysan Operations Command carried out a security operation in Al-Maimouna district, southwest of the governorate, to pursue wanted persons and seize unlicensed weapons. Maysan Operations Command said in a statement: “The operation resulted in seizing a quantity of unlicensed weapons.”

Fuel prices have increased in Lebanon on Tuesday, with the price of a canister of 95-octane gasoline rising by LBP 58,000, that of 98-octane gasoline by LBP 59,000, that of diesel by LBP 54,000, and that of LP gas by LBP 31,000. Consequently, prices are as follows: 95-octane gasoline: LBP 1,771,000 98-octane gasoline: LBP 1,813,000 Diesel: LBP 1,680,000 LP gas: LBP 1,193,000

A new earthquake measuring 4.7 degrees struck this morning, Tuesday, in Gokson district of Kahramanmaras, southern Turkey. According to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) on its website, the tremor occurred at 09:47 local time and was at a depth of 7 kilometers. In its statement, the Turkish Emergency Management Department did not mention any information about whether there were any losses of life or property.
