Warrap State’s headquarters, Kuajok Municipal Council, has launched a clean-up campaign along the main roads, markets, and public institutions.
Aurora Nyaruon, the deputy town mayor for administration and finance, said that the campaign is to improve the health conditions of Kuajok residents.
“We are aware of the dirty environment and that is why our youth, women, church members, and students of first aid pour into the main roads, public institutions including the church to clean the environment because cleaning is very important for our citizens as it enhances good health,” she said.
Nyaruon added that she also plans to open roads within the town and neighborhoods.
“We tried also to open internal roads within blocks, in the main market and currently we are working in the church clearing bushes and cleaning the environment as we are waiting to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Kuajok Catholic Church,” she said.
She adds, “I would like to ask our citizens in Kuajok to cooperate with us when we come for cleaning or opening the roads in the blocks even if your house is in the middle of the road, just allow us to clear it off so that our town should look clean and that can help people to have access roads.”
