Kataeb party leader MP Sami Gemayel met in Saifi on Monday with Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Waleed Bukhari, and an accompanying delegation from the Saudi Embassy in Beirut.
A statement by the Kataeb press office indicated that talks touched on the latest local and regional developments, especially the presidential file. It added that conferees stressed the necessity to speed up the election of a president who is capable of resolving all files and ending Lebanon’s isolation from the world.
Bukhari has reportedly expressed his confidence in the Lebanese people’s aspirations and determination to exit the crises. “We are used to Lebanon’s resilience towards crises and its ability to overcome them,” he said.
