Board of Trustees Chairman of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Piyush Srivastava.
The two sides discussed strengthening cooperation between the center and the embassy in organizing joint events, seminars and exhibitions in the Kingdom in the fields of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, and to review the history of the Hindu community in Bahrain.
Dr. Shaikh Khalid praised the depth of the historical relations of cooperation and friendship that unite the two countries and peoples, noting the good efforts made by the ambassador to develop these ties.
The ambassador appreciated the center’s efforts in consolidating the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence at the local and global levels, stressing his pride in the close and historical relations between the two friendly countries and keenness to support and strengthen them in their various fields.
