Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, presided this morning over Sunday’s Mass service in the Church of Our Lady in Bkirki.

In his religious sermon, Al-Rahi urged Lebanese officials to restore life to institutions, starting with the election of a President of the Republic.

Al-Rai wished to spare southern Lebanon and the Lebanese from the war, which would cause casualties, injuries, displacement and destruction, for the sake of a cause that has nothing to do with Lebanon, its cause, peace and stability.

Tens of thousands of students participate in Global Action Week


Together – Tens of thousands of school students in the West Bank and shelter centers in the Gaza Strip participated in beating the drums to protect education in Gaza. Jordanian forces carry out 6 airdrops of aid into northern Gaza


Today, Sunday, the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army carried out 6 airdrops on different areas in the northern Gaza Strip, with the participation of other countries.

The airdrops included relief and humanitarian aid to support people in the Gaza Strip, as a result of the ongoing Israeli war on the Strip.

A plane belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force, a plane belonging to the Arab Republic of Egypt, three planes belonging to the United States of America, and a plane belonging to the Federal Republic of Germany participated in the aid landing operation.

The Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that they are continuing to send humanitarian and medical aid via an air bridge to be delivered via aid planes from Marka Airport towards Al-Arish International Airport, or through airdrops on the Gaza Strip or ground aid convoys, to help the people in the Gaza Strip overcome the difficult conditions, and to embody the In the spirit of cooperation and solidarity between the two brotherly peoples.

MIKATI AFTER MEETING SÉJOURNE: WE APPEAL TO FRANCE and EUROPEAN COUNTRIES TO SUPPORT LEBANON IN REACHING A SOLUTION TO SYRIAN DISPLACEMENT CRISIS


Prime Minister Najib Mikati received French Foreign Minister Stephane Séjourne this afternoon at the Grand Serail.

The meeting was also attended by French Ambassador to Lebanon, Herve Magro, Director of North Africa and the Middle East at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Anne Grillo, and advisors to the Prime Minister, former Minister Nicolas Nahhas and Ambassador Butros Asaker.

Discussions focused on the efforts undertaken by France to restore calm to southern Lebanon, and to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The Prime Minister was briefed by Minister Sejourne about the tour he is making in the region and the talks he will hold.

“Lebanon appreciates France for always standing by its side and supporting it at all levels,” Mikati emphasized, adding that “Lebanon also values the great effort of President Emmanuel Macron to protect Lebanon, its stability, and its economic recovery.’

He added: “The French initiative constitutes a practical framework for
implementing International Resolution No. 1701, which Lebanon adheres to implementing in full, while demanding Israel’s commitment to implementing it and stopping its destructive aggression against southern Lebanon, in addition to supporting the army to enable it to carry out its tasks and achieve lasting peace on the borders.”

PM Mikati also renewed his “call to France and the European countries to support Lebanon in order to reach a solution to the crisis of displaced Syrians,” referring to “the beginning of a new European approach through recognition of the challenge that this issue represents for Lebanon and willingness to work with the Lebanese authorities in this regard.”

HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan Chairs HM King Mohammed VI Grand Prix of Official 3* Show Jumping Competition of Royal Guard


His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, on Sunday, the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s Official Show Jumping Competition 3* of the Royal Guard, organized from April 26 to 28 at the Hassan II Arena in the Méchouar in Rabat, under the High Patronage of His Majesty the King.

Upon his arrival at the Hassan II arena of the Royal Guard, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was welcomed by Major General, Commander of the Royal Guard, Abdelaziz Chatar.

After reviewing a section of the Royal Guard paying honors, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was greeted by the Minister of National Education, Preschool, and Sport, Chakib Benmoussa, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, Mohamed Sadiki, the President of the Moroccan National Olympic Committee (CNOM), Fayçal Laraïchi, and the Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, Mohamed Yacoubi, as well as senior officers of the Royal Guard and other personalities.

Subsequently, amid cheers from the
numerous audience gathered at the Hassan II arena of the Royal Guard, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan proceeded to the guest tribune from where His Royal Highness presided over the final of HM King Mohammed VI Grand Prix of the Royal Guard’s official 3* show jumping competition, a test reserved for first-category horses, which was won by the rider Ali Al Ahrach with the horse “Douglas”, after a jump-off, completing the course without faults in 44.01 seconds.

At the end of this competition, organized under the auspices of the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Sports Federation (FRMSE), HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presented the trophy of HM King Mohammed VI Grand Prix to the winning rider, Ali Al Ahrach.

HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan also presented the other prizes (cups) to the finalists ranked in the following positions.

At the end of this prestigious sporting event, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan posed for a commemorative photo with the winners, who then took a victory lap on horseback.
