Tunis, September 26 (QNA) – Tunisia’s first Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali conferred here on Wednesday with Qatari public health minister HE Abdullah Bin Khalid Al-Qahtani, who is also chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) who is currently visiting Tunisia to partake in the 9th Global Summit of National Ethics.
During the meeting, they discussed ties of joint cooperation and means of boosting them with emphasis in health field.
HE Abdullah Bin Khalid Al-Qahtani later met with his Tunisian counterpart Abdul Latif al-Mekki and discussed scopes of joint health cooperation especially in the basic health care and control of communicable diseases, training and rehabilitation and other related matters.
Tunisia will host the Global Summit of National Ethics due to kick off here late today. The Tunisian National Ethics Committee works in close collaboration with the Ethics and Health Team at the World Health Organization (serving as permanent secretariat of the Global Summits), on the organization of this important meeting, which is a unique event for consensus building on priority ethical issues to be addressed globally. The Summit had taken place in several continents and for the first time it will take place in Africa.
All National Bioethics Advisory Bodies are invited to participate in the 9th Global Summit in Tunisia.(QNA)
