MUSCAT: The International Conference on Emergency Medicine will begin at the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) on Tuesday.
The three-day conference aims to showcase latest developments in emergency medicine covering ambulance services, rescue operations and critical cases. It will review developments in diagnosis and treatment, equipment used to treat injuries, disaster medicine and emergency management.
Experts from the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, International Federation for Emergency Medicine and the College of Emergency Medicine in UK, and those from Oman and other GCC countries will take part in the conference.
Several physicians, nurses, health workers, medical and nursing students and administrative workers from the health sector will also attend the conference.
Workshops on rescue operations, ambulance and the basics of disasters and emergencies will be conducted at the Omantel building in Mawaleh.
