THINK-TECH FOCUSES ON CONNECTING IT ENTHUSIASTS

MUSCAT: As many as 70 students attended Think-Tech, an event organised on Tuesday to update participants on new software and applications.

The event was organised by 1Pulse, a youth development project. Mutasim bin Nasser al Riyami, a student of Sultan Qaboos University spoke on the ‘Secrets of Google’ and Google tricks.

Professor Mayur of Intrac-Oman company spoke about the evolution of software and applications for mobile phones, the realities of the Internet and how life has become easier with newer applications.

Sharifa al Barami, founder of BizHub said, “Technology can be used in several ways to improve lives. You should be passionate about creating and innovating and the rest will fall into place.” Fatima Bahwan, event manager, 1Pulse said, “We organise such events so that young people can connect and communicate with experts and develop opportunities into business.”

Fatima added, “There are many youths in Oman who take great interest in technology and app development. We will try to take the ideas discussed at this event forward and make this a platform for sharing ideas between individuals and companies.” Participants were also briefed about the SAS centre and career in graphic designing, animation, gaming graphics etc.
