KHARTOUM, Sudan, Sudanese President, Omar al-Bashir, on Tuesday, received an invitation from the Saudi King, Salman Bin Abdulaziz, to take part in the Arab Summit in Riyadh.
Al-Bashir, on Tuesday, received the Saudi Ambassador to Khartoum, Ali Bin Hassan Jaafar, who delivered him the invitation.
Speaking to reporters, following the meeting, the Saudi ambassador stressed the importance of the forthcoming Arab summit in Riyadh.
“The summit will review a number of issues that concern the Arab nation, and look into the great challenges,” said the ambassador.
He noted that, the summit would be preceded by meetings of experts and foreign ministers, prior to submit recommendations and resolutions to the summit.
Since Oct, 2015, Sudan has been participating in the Saudi-led Arab alliance, against the Houthi group in Yemen.
