DHAHRAN, President Omer al-Basher has restated Sudan’s firm position for the peaceful resolution of Arab issues, specially, the Yemeni and Syrian issues.
Addressing the 29th Ordinary Arab League Summit here Sunday, he lauded the government and the people of Saudi Arabia for hosting the summit and the kingdom’s role in resolving Arab issues.
He also condemned the launching of the missiles by the Houthi militias in Yemen towards Saudi territories, while affirming Sudan’s rejection of regional intervention in Syrian affairs.
Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the summit, President al-Basher on Sunday met Saudi Crown Prince Amir Mohammed Bin Salman and discussed with him the distinguished relations between the two countries and issues of mutual interest.
Sudanese Foreign Minister Proferssor Ibrahim Ghandour told journalists later that Prince Mohammed Bin Salman affirmed Sudan’s role in joint Arab issues.
