KHARTOUM, President Omer Al-Bashir will lead a high-level Sudanese delegation to attend the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Ordinary Summit which will take place in Addis Ababa on Wednesday.
The delegation accompanying the President will include Minister at the Presidency Dr Fadul Abdalla Fadul, Defence Minister Lieutenant-General Awad Ibn Auf, Foreign Minister Dr Al-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed , Director of National Intelligence Security Service (NISS) Salah Abdalla and State Minister and Director-General of the President’s Office Hatem Bakheet.
President Al-Bashir will address the summit of heads of State and government of IGAD, an eight-nation Horn of Africa bloc, and brief them on Sudan’s efforts in the peace process for South Sudan.
The Summit was preceded by Tuesday’s meeting of the IGAD Council of Ministers which discussed the latest developments in South Sudan and in relations among IGAD member states.
