SUDANESE OFFICIAL APPOINTED MEMBER OF EXCO OF WORLD BODY FOR ANIMAL HEALTH
The Under Secretary of Sudan’s Ministry of Animal Resources, Dr. Kamal Tajal-Sir, has been appointed a member of the Executive Council of the World Organization for Animal Health, which is known by its acronym in French, OIE.
The OIE is an inter-governmental organization which co-ordinates, supports and promote the control of animal disease and consists of 180 countries from around the world.
Dr. Tajal-Sir was selected to represent 54 African countries which are members of the OIE in elections held in early May in Nairobi. The OIE Executive Council consists of a president and six members representing the different continents of the world.
