Sudanese flag raised at EU headquarters

Brussels: Sudan’s flag was raised at the European Union (EU) headquarters in Brussels on the occasion of the arrival of Prime Minister Dr. Abdallah Hamdok in an official visit which has started by a meeting with the EU leaders and European foreign ministers.

The official of foreign relations of the Sudanese grouping in Belgium, Tijani Ibrahim, has described the event as a strong expression of the EU supportive stance to the Prime Minister’s transitional government. He said the visit was important based on the EU concern with Sudan.

He added that the Sudanese people abroad and inside the country are waiting for the breaking of Sudan isolation, bringing about peace and solving the crises, Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported.
