SUDAN-FRANCE CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE MEETINGS BEGIN IN KHARTOUM WEDNESDAY

KHARTOUM, Meetings of the 7th Sudan-France Political Consultative Committee begin here Wednesday.

The French side will be headed by the General Director for Africa and the Indian Ocean at the French Foreign Ministry and includes the French Ambassador to Sudan, while the Sudanese side will be led by the General Director of European and American Affairs at the Foreign Ministry.

The talks between the two sides will include a review of progress in bilateral relations in the political, economic and cultural fields, the developments and situations in neighbouring countries, the joint efforts for combating illegal immigration and terrorism and the co-operation between Sudan and France in international organizations and forums.

Members of the French side will meet during their two-day visit here with senior officials in Sudan to discuss issues of peace, development and the political and constitutional developments under Sudan’s National Dialogue process.
