Khartoum: Sudan has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Abha International Airport by Iranian-backed Houthi militia, which killed one civilian and injured several others.
In a statement today the Sudanese foreign ministry said that targeting a civilian airport used by thousands of civilians everyday is a war crime, a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and a direct threat to the safety of civilians, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The statement added that targeting the stability and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia poses a serious threat to the stability of the region and to international peace and security.
Sudan affirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of these terrorist threats and called upon the international community and organizations representing international legitimacy to take the necessary measures to address and eliminate these threats.
