Manama: Chairman of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, today sent a cable of condolences to his Oman’s Consultative Assembly counterpart, Khalid Al Maawali, following the sad demise of HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
Al-Saleh paid tribute to the late Sultan, stressing that he is among Oman’s key leaders who has dedicated his life in the service of brotherly Oman, citing his success in buillding a modern state there.
He asserted that the late Sultan Qaboos’ achievements in the fields of education, culture, health, economy, tourism and foreign policy will remain engaved in Oman’s national memory, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in eternal peace and bless the brotherly Omani people with patience and fortitude.
The Shura Chairman sent a similar cable to the Omani Ambassador to Bahrain, Abdulla bin Rashid Bin Ali Al Mudailwi.
