SHOOTING CLUB DEDICATES WIN TO KUWAITI HUMANITARIAN LEADER

GRANADA, Spain, Sept 11– Kuwait Shooting Club Secretary Obaid Al-Osaimi said Wednesday that the national team for shooting dedicates its ISSF World Championships silver medal in the trap teams’ event to the humanitarian leader, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

“Kuwaiti shooters are proud to present this medal and achievement to His Highness the Amir, coinciding with the recent ceremony held by the United Nations to honor him for his global humanitarian work, to which he gained the title of ‘humanitarian leader’ and Kuwait a ‘humanitarian center’,” Al-Osaimi, who heads the Kuwaiti delegation in Spain, said in a statement.

Kuwait shooters took the silver medal in the trap teams’ event, after completing five rounds with a total of 367 points.

Al-Osaimi praised the tremendous performance and the great team effort made by the shooters, namely the two-time Olympic medalist Fehaid Al-Deehani, Talal Al-Rashidi and Abdulrahman Al-Faihan.

He added that Sheikh Salman had a prominent role on this achievement through “offering material and moral support, and in his constant following up of developments made in the sport and his continued encouragement of shooters.
