President of the Senate Faisal Fayez, during a meeting with Senator Jimena Gonzales of the Chilean Senate, lauded the country’s supportive positions of just Arab causes.
The meeting tackled relations between the two friendly countries, the importance of strengthening and building on them in various fields to serve common interests, the need to remove any obstacles and an emphasis on the deep-rootedness of the Jordanian-Chilean relations.
Fayez highlighted Jordan’s positions under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II towards the overall situation in the region, especially with regard to the Palestinian cause, pointing out that Jordan constantly stresses the need to adopt political solutions to various disputes and conflicts away from violence, killing and destruction.
He stressed that a just solution to the Palestinian issue is the key to resolving all conflicts in the region, and that there is no solution to the Palestinian issue except in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the two-state solution.
For her part, the Chilean Senator commended the great role played by His Majesty King Abdullah II to achieve peace and restore security and stability to the region and His Majesty’s efforts to resolve various issues, especially those related to the peace process.
During the meeting, she spoke about many aspects of cooperation between Chile and Jordan, stressing her country’s commitment to developing and enhancing it in various fields.
