MUSCAT: The registration for the Sultan Qaboos Award for Excellence in eGovernment services will be accepted until the beginning of next month.
A press release stated that public sector companies can compete in nine categories: Best eService which includes G2G, G2E, G2B, G2C and Mobile Services, Best eProject which includes interoperable and collaborative, eReadiness and eContent.
Private sector firms can compete in two categories: Best Public Mobile eService and Best Public eService while Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) can participate, for the first time, in two categories: Best eSolution and Best Public Mobile eService.’
The teams have been provided credentials for secure online access to register their nominations. ‘The award committee will monitor the registration procedures and provide support to the teams in using the system.’ The release added that winning projects will be provided consultancy to develop their services based on international standards.
‘The award committee will keep in mind the best standards essential for judging the best eGovernment services.
We urge all big private sector organisations, SMEs and government establishments to register through www.ita.gov.om/hmaward to avoid last minute hassle.’
