Gaza, September 30 (QNA) – The State of Qatar and the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip signed today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to fund establishment of a prosthetics hospital.
The head of the Qatari delegation to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi said an international advisory office in Qatar has finished preparing designs for the establishment of the Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani Hospital, which will be established in west of Gaza, to be funded by Qatar at a cost of $ 15 million.
Emadi said during the signing ceremony of the memorandum that the hospital will contain a centre for the deaf and dumb rehabilitation as well as the prosthetics rehabilitation.
For his part, Minister of Health of the sacked Palestinian government Mufid Almakhllaty said the establishment of this hospital is a good step on the road to the reconstruction of Gaza and the advancement of the Palestinian health sector.(QNA)
