Doha, September 29 (QNA) – Qatar football team will leave tomorrow, Sunday, for Abu Dhabi, the UAE, for a week-long training camp as Qatar is preparing for a key 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan on October 16. Coach Paulo Autuori will lead a 30 member squad for a training camp in neighboring UAE starting Sunday, Sept.30.
A friendly against Jordan will follow the week-long training camp on October 8. “We have two very important World Cup qualifying matches coming up,” Autuori said.
“We have already started our preparations for the matches (against Uzbekistan and Lebanon in November). This camp in the UAE will help us spend time together and create a team spirit that we saw against Iran (on June 12),” Autuori added. (QNA)
