Just as heavy drinking can give you a hangover, so can a hard workout lead to muscle soreness. And as “hair of the dog” can help relieve the former, so can moderate exercise – counterintuitive though it, too, may seem – help you get rid of the latter. “It increases blood flow to the damaged muscles, enabling them to heal faster,” explains physiotherapist Alexander Srokovskyi.
