KUWAIT’S PARLIAMENT SPEAKER IN WASHINGTON FOR GLOBAL PARLIAMENTARY CONF.

WASHINGTON, April 12– National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim arrived in Washington D.C. on Saturday to participate in the Global Parliamentary Conference, hosted by the Global Parliamentary Network of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The April 12-13 conference will bring together around 200 MPs from some 100 countries, as well as representatives of civil societies and international organizations.

Al-Ghanim is scheduled to meet with heads of parliaments as well senior officials from the World Bank and IMF.

The conference will be a good venue to get acquainted with policies of the Global Parliamentary Network for the coming years.

Al-Ghanim, accompanied by MPs Yusuf Al-Zalzalah and Khalil Abdullah, was received at the airport by Kuwait’s Ambassador to the US Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Dr. Merza Hassan, World Bank Board Member.
