KUWAIT, Jan 10 – Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan, Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah, opened Friday, Kuwait’s Fifth Heritage Festival, held under the auspices of the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Speaking to reporters after the inauguration, Sheikh Ali said, the patronage of the Amir, reflected his keenness to see the Kuwaiti and Gulf people, revive their heritage.
He said, the Heritage Festival has a different taste this year, because it was held in Sabah Al-Ahmad Traditional Village, next to the Salmi Highway.
Amiri Diwan Advisor, Mohammad Dhaifallah Sharar said, in a statement to KUNA, the support of the Amir to the Traditional Village, would make it a gathering for traditional lovers, Kuwaitis and Gulf families.
“It will be a great chance to get acquainted with traditions of other Gulf countries,” he said.
The Heritage Festival features participation of 5,600 people, competing in the beauty and production of camels, sheep and falcons, as well as camel and falcon races.-
