CAIRO, Sept 19 — Director-General of Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) Jamal Al-Dosari commended here on Thursday the outcomes of the 41st session of the Arab Labor Conference which concluded earlier in the day.
Speaking to KUNA following the gathering, Al-Dosari said Kuwait had effectively participated in the conference and maintained its membership in the Arab Labor Organization’s formulation committee.
The State of Kuwait has even joined another two committees on women and financial control committees, the official added.
The conferees has agreed to all suggestions put forward by Kuwait, including one allowing the Arab Labor Organization (ALO) director-general to complete his legal term ending in April 2015.
He reiterated the GCC member states’ support for Kuwaiti trade union chief Fayez Al-Muteiri’s nomination for the ALO presidency.
The conferees have also consented to Kuwait’s request nominating Saudi Arabia and UAE as members of the ALO board and Qatar as an observer.
