KUWAITI MP SUED FOR MAKING HOSTILE STATEMENTS AGAINST BAHRAIN

Kuwait, Sept 29 – A Kuwaiti National Assembly MP is being sued for making hostile statements against the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Kuwait Foreign Ministry Undersecretary, Khalid Al-Jarallah, announced the move last night, as he attended a ceremony hosted by the Chinese Embassy, marking the annual establishment of the People’s Republic of China.

In a statement posted on Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), he deplored the hostile statements, adding that “any affront to Bahrain is also an affront to Kuwait.”

“We have received a memo of protest from Bahrain authorities, which prompted us to take the necessary legal action”, he said.
