KUWAIT FM ARRIVES IN PARIS AHEAD OF MEETING ON ISLAMIC STATE

PARIS, June 2 — Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah arrived in Paris Monday heading a delegation to a Paris meeting on the fight against the Islamic State (IS).

Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled will also take part in a meeting between Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Foreign Ministers and their British counterpart Philip Hammond, to be held on the sidelines of the anti-IS event.

Participants will review progress in the campaign against the insurgent group, as well as recent developments in Syria and Iraq.

The Kuwaiti delegation to the Paris meeting includes Kuwait’s Ambassador to France Ali Suleiman Al-Saeed, Director of the Foreign Ministry’s GCC Affairs Department Ambassador Nasser Hajji Al-Muzain, and Deputy Director of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister’s Office Ambassador Saleh Salem Al-Loughani, as well as Director of the Ministry’s follow-up and Coordination Department Ambassador Nasser Subaih AI-Subaih, besides other senior officials at the ministry.
