Accepting the book, the President said that it represented a chronicle of bright chapters in the history of the UAE, through the author’s personal experience in and service to the country. Expressing his wishes for Dr. Al-Pachachi’s good health and success, H.H. Sheikh Khalifa added that the UAE respects and values the contributions made to the development of the country by those who have served in their respective positions and according to their capabilities.
In response, Al-Pachachi, said that he was delighted to be able to give to the President the first copy of his book, adding: “I am presenting my personal experiences to the loyal people of the UAE, for whom I have deep respect. I hope that the book will be useful to the generations to come.” H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region,H.H. Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, and a number of other Sheikhs and senior officials were present.
Meanwhile, H.H. Sheikh Khalifa also received an invitation from Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 18) being hosted in Doha.
The invitation was delivered to Sheikh Khalifa during an audience today at Al Rawdha Palace in Al Ain by Abdullah Mohammed Al Othman, Qatari Ambassador to the UAE, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, and other Sheikhs and officials.
