ISF receives American donation including sophisticated equipment

SEPTEMBER 3, 2014 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Internal Security Forces (ISF) on Wednesday morning received an American donation worth $2 million including sophisticated equipment, within the framework of the fight against terrorism (ATA) and in the field of advanced counter measures for explosives’ incidents.

The donation handing ceremony took place at the Martyr General Wissam al Hassan’s Barrack in Dbayeh, in the presence of US Ambassador to Lebanon, David Hale, Commander of Judicial Police Unit, Brigadier Naji Masri, representing Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Ibrahim Basbous, Commander of Vehicle Forces Unit, Brigadier Abdo Njeim, The Security Official at the US Embassy, and heads of judicial police departments.

The US donation included three robots (ROBOT) for the detection of suspicious objects, uniforms for explosives experts, water cannons to disable explosives, metal detectors, advanced X-ray devices, communication devices, different electric tools and equipment and other devices.
