NEW DELHI, Feb 22 (NNN-SUNA) — India has re-affirmed its keenness to expand the scope of its co-operation with Sudan, especially as the two countries are linked to each other by firm historic ties.
This was stated here Tuesday by the the Indian Minister of State at the Ministry of External Relations Mj Akbar when he met Sudanese Foreign Minister and head of the Sudanese side to the third session of the joint Sudanese-Indian Ministerial Committee, Professor Ibrahim Ghandour.
The meeting discussed the mechanisms for follow-up and to advance bilateral relations in different areas, including the strengthening of trade exchanges, development of Indian investments in Sudan and enhancing India’s contribution to the implementation of development projects in Sudan.
The two sides affirmed the importance of the exchange of visits by the senior officials in the two countries.
