Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, today received the Council of Representatives Speaker, HE Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, the Shura Council Chairman, HE Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, and the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, HE Sameer Abdulla Nass, at HRH’s majlis in Gudaibiya Palace.
During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the importance of continued cooperation and coordination between the Executive and Legislative branches in order to meet the aspirations of Bahraini citizens and strengthen the Kingdom’s development.
HRH the Crown Prince affirmed the Kingdom’s dedicated efforts to enhance its security and preserve the nation’s prosperity and achievements across many fields, which have been accomplished through the solidarity and efforts of Bahraini people under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HRH the Crown Prince then praised Bahrain’s cooperation with its international allies in safeguarding regional security and stability, and stressed the importance of taking all necessary steps to avoid violence and destruction, whilst affirming the Kingdom’s firm stance against all forms of terrorism and extremism.
HRH the Crown Prince went on to underline the importance of meeting the aspirations of Bahraini citizens, who remain at the core of the government’s development efforts. In this regard, and in line with HM the King’s Royal directives, HRH instructed the allocation of five thousand housing units to citizens across all the Kingdom’s Governorates.
HRH the Crown Prince called attention to the importance of upholding the Kingdom’s values orientated around community and solidarity as well as the principles of coexistence and pluralism, which are representative of Bahraini society.
HRH the Crown Prince praised the positive economic results achieved by the Kingdom as shown in the Bahrain Economic Quarterly report for the third quarter of 2019. This report indicates positive economic growth in comparison to the same period of 2018. HRH stressed the importance of continuing to diversify the economy and introduce initiatives that stimulate economic growth within the framework of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
HRH the Crown Prince concluded by noting the success of the National Employment Program (NEP), which has benefitted over 9,000 job seekers since its launch in February 2019.
For their part, the Council of Representatives Speaker, the Shura Council Chairman and the Chairman of the BCCI expressed their gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince for his support of enhanced cooperation between the Executive and Legislative branches.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Prime Ministers, HH Sh. Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, HE Jawad bin Salim Alarrayedh and HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, as well as a number of senior officials and members of the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council.
