Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, former French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, who is currently on a visit to the kingdom, to attend the 44th Interarab Cambist Association (ICA) conference.
HM the King welcomed the former French President, and reviewed with him the deep-rooted solid relations between the two friendly countries, lauding the advanced level of joint coordination, and its steady progress at all levels, which serves common interests and aspirations.
HM King Hamad appreciated the role played by the former French President in strengthening the Bahraini-French relations, hailing France’s effective role and contributions to the International Community’s efforts to strengthen the pillars of regional and global security and stability, as well as to foster peace in the region and the world.
They also discussed the latest developments in the region, as well as a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Former French President expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the gracious welcome and hospitality accorded to him, hailing HM the King’s efforts to strengthen the historical friendship ties with France, as well as to bolster cooperation with it.
