Houston, September 29 (QNA) – Qatari Minister of Energy and Industry HE Dr. Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada and his official accompanying delegation met with Annise Parker, Mayor of Houston at the US State of Texas, in attendance of Qatar’s Consul to Houston HE Faisal Abdullah Hamad Abdullah Al Henzab.
Discussions during the meeting addressed ties of joint cooperation and means of boosting and bolstering it, especially in the energy field.
Shortly before his meeting with Parker, HE the Minister of Energy and Industry participated as a principal guest in a meeting held by the Arab- American Chamber of Commerce in Houston . The meeting of the Arab- American Chamber of Commerce in Houston, was also attended by a number of diplomats, businessmen, and executive directors of international energy firms in the city.
During the meeting, HE the Qatari Minister of Energy and Industry gave a speech presenting the State of Qatar’s developments in recent years in all fields, specially its pioneering role in the oil and gas industry, thanks to the wise long-term vision of HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
HE Al Sada also met with Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ConocoPhillips Ryan M. Lance, Chairman and CEO of Phillips 66 Greg Garland, and Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) President and CEO Peter L. Cella, and discussed ties of joint cooperation.
HE Qatar’s Minister of Energy and Industry and his accompanying delegation arrived in Houston earlier on Thursday on a few days’ official visit to the United States. (QNA)
