Singapore, October 26 (QNA) – A graduation ceremony of Qatari officers and non-commissioned officers was held at Singapore’s Civil Defence Academy headquarters here on Friday. The Qatari graduates, numbering 30, attended a civil defence course at the said academy.
HE Qatari Ambassador to Singapore Rashid Bin Ali Al Khater and Director of the Singaporean Academy Col. Christopher Tan, attended the graduation ceremony which was also attended by a number of senior officers of the Singaporean Civil Defence Force and the Interior Affairs Ministry together with the Qatar embassy staff.
Col.Tan conveyed in his keynote address before the graduation party best congratulations to the Qatari graduates wishing them best of success.
Then a presentation about the main activities of the aforesaid course and the skills ,the graduates have acquired from Singapore’s practical experience to upgrade their capabilities regarding several fields including training including fire combating , search and rescue in urban areas, control of hazardous materials and fighting of ship fire fighting, were also made.
HE the Qatari diplomat during his meeting with the graduates, praised their activities and efforts and urged them to benefit from the acquired knowledge to proceed forward towards upgrading and updating their skills for the welfare of Qatar in all areas, wishing them more success and advancement.(QNA)
