KHARTOUM, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed arrived in Khartoum Wednesday for a two-day official visit to the neighbouring country.
Abiy, who arrived here Wednesday evening, was accorded a warm welcome by Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir and the Ethiopian community residing in Sudan.
Abiy is expected to confer with President al-Bashir on multiple issues of bilateral and regional concern.
The two-day visit is aimed at further boosting the long-standing relations between Ethiopia and Sudan.
Abiy, who took office on March 27 following the resignation of his predecessor, Hailemariam Desalegn, made his first visit abroad to Djibouti last week.
