Erekat meets British Consul General

JERUSALEM, (SANA) – Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Saeb Erekat met at his office in Jericho with British Consul General Philip Hall.

Erekat said that he had asked Ambassador Hammond to intervene in his country and the international community to oblige the Israeli government to implement the arrangements for holding the presidential and legislative elections in East Jerusalem by voting, nomination and election campaigns under international supervision and supervision.

Erekat explained to the British ambassador that the general elections in Palestine (East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza Strip) are an entitlement and a return to the will of the people and the ballot boxes is a supreme national interest.
