CAIRO, April 12 – Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab lauded Saturday Egypt-Kuwait relations, describing them as “historic.” Mahlab made the statement during a meeting with Kuwaiti Ambassador in Cairo Salem Al-Zamanan, said a statement by Egypt’s Cabinet.
Mahlab stressed that Egypt-Kuwait relations have been positively developing, the statement said, adding this was clear when the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah took part in the Egypt Economic Development Conference last month.
The Premier referred to the efforts exerted by the government over the last period aimed at resolving all problems facing investors, including Kuwaitis, to create an attractive atmosphere for further investments, it noted.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Zamanan said that the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) will soon finish preparations for inaugurating a KPC regional office in Cairo, the statement said.
The new office will expand the Kuwaiti oil products to the Egyptian market, and in Africa and countries on the Mediterranean Sea, it concluded.
