Deputy King briefed on advancement of housing projects

Manama: The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today received the Minister of Housing, HE Basim Bin Yacob Alhamer, at Gudaibiya Palace to review the development of housing projects across the Kingdom’s Governorates.

During the meeting, HRH the Deputy King highlighted that Bahrain continues to direct all its efforts to develop programs and initiatives that benefit its citizens, in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development plan and in accordance with the vision of HM the King.

HRH the Deputy King noted that in line with the directives of HM the King, HRH instructed the recent allocation of five thousand housing units to citizens across all the Kingdom’s Governorates, reflecting the continuous emphasis on implementing and delivering on government plans for housing.

HRH the Deputy King concluded by further stressing the importance of enhancing all processes related to the housing sector in order to guarantee its sustainable growth, enhance the participation of the private sector, and support the advancement of the Kingdom and its citizens.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Development Projects and Infrastructure, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planing, HE Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, also attended the meeting.
