Hebron – Ma’an – On Monday evening, occupation soldiers stationed on Halhul Bridge, north of Hebron, opened fire on a Palestinian vehicle, but no injuries were reported.

Local sources reported that the shooting at the vehicle was unjustified, and the vehicle was damaged.

‘Education’: 800 Gaza students registered to take the Tawjihi exam in Egypt


Ramallah – Ma’an – The Ministry of Education confirmed that the process of registering Gaza students in Egypt is continuing, through a specialized team from the Ministry and the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo, including high school students for the year 2024, who have enrolled in the distance education program, repeat students, and special studies students. (homes), and students who have not completed one or two subjects in the year 2023 are stranded Palestinian school students currently in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as the Ministry has sent a specialist to complete this at the embassy headquarters.

The Ministry reported that 800 students from the Gaza Strip have registered to take the high school exam in Egypt according to special arrangements that will be announced at that time, in addition to approximately two hundred students spread across other countries.

In the context; The Ministry indicated that it opened 19 schools in the West Bank, where Gazan students abroad receive distance education, as male and
female teachers, school principals, and educational supervisors volunteered.

The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham said that the Ministry pays great attention to providing everything that would serve students in the Gaza Strip and alleviate their suffering resulting from the occupation and its continued aggression against them, and the systematic destruction that the Strip witnessed that affected children, school and university students, and educational and academic staff, stressing that what the Ministry is doing embodies Its responsibility and commitment to defend the right to education and ensure the provision of all means to enable Gaza’s students to obtain their right to education despite the harsh scene and the effects of the occupation’s aggression.

Barham thanked the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Embassy of Palestine in Cairo for their cooperation and efforts, praising the efforts of male and female teachers from the West Bank who volunteered in their schools that regular

Salt: Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) President Ahmed Ajlouni discussed on Monday with Morihata Shingo, chief representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Jordan, advancing collaboration in automotive technology.

The discussion centered on establishing state-of-the-art laboratories for maintenance of hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as the training of faculty members in this field.

The two sides signed minutes of the meeting, outlining a comprehensive training program tailored for university professors with the participation of members of other technical institutions.

Under the agreement, JICA pledged support to equip laboratories at BAU’s Faculty of Engineering Technology and Maan University College with cutting-edge technical apparatuses. This assistance will facilitate the implementation of a two-year training regimen, encompassing both practical and theoretical components, aimed at equipping students with the requisite skills for careers in hybrid and electric vehicle m
aintenance.

Ajlouni expressed appreciation for JICA’s unwavering support, emphasizing the transformative impact of the equipment on Maan University College’s academic program. He highlighted the broader implications of this collaboration, envisaging strengthened ties with the industrial sector and heightened responsiveness to local market demands.

Morihata reaffirmed JICA’s commitment to enhancing technical education and vocational training in Jordan. Project coordinator Muhammad Matouq revealed that over 50 educators are slated to benefit from JICA’s localized training initiative over the ensuing two years.

Israeli army announces injury of 8 of its soldiers in Gaza during past 24 hours

Amman: The Israeli occupation army announced on Monday that eight of its soldiers were injured in battles in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.

According to Israeli Channel 12, the occupation forces said that the total number of injuries among their soldiers since October 7 last year reached 3294, including 1583 injuries during the ground operation in the Gaza Strip.

It added that 512 officers and soldiers have been seriously wounded since the start of the war on Gaza, and 258 officers and soldiers are still receiving treatment, 24 of whom are seriously wounded.
