The Cabinet also expressed its pride at the people’s complete rejection of all attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of the UAE, thereby attempting to hinder its relentless march of progress.
At a meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Cabinet reviewed a statement issued by the Office of the UAE Attorney General on the outcome of the investigations made so far with regards to a number of individuals who were arrested recently.
The statement contained the findings of the investigation, showing that these individuals which had conspired against it had set up links with external elements and had worked in an organised and systematic manner, causing harm to the country and spreading false information in order to incite others against the country and to distort its shining image before the world, and thus had violated all of the principles on which the country is established in clear violation of the Constitution and the guiding principles and norms to which we adhere.
The Cabinet said that the UAE will continue with full confidence in its humanitarian mission, based on tolerance, moderation and openness, and that it is moving forward with its development programmes in various political, economic and social fields. These have the goal of consolidating the march of the Union and of strengthening its entity and the achievements made over the past four decades, guaranteeing all that is good for citizens, ensuring their happiness and promoting their role in the service of their country in various fields and at all levels, as inspired by the teachings of our religion, our heritage and the original principles underlying our society.
The Cabinet expressed its absolute trust and confidence in the integrity of the judiciary and in the procedures which it takes with complete independence, in accordance with the Constitution, laws and regulations.
The Cabinet concluded its statement by emphasising that it will respect any outcome of the judicial process with regards to the persons in custody, stressing that justice will be served when the investigations are completed , in accordance with the laws of the country.
