Manama: Bahrain national basketball team will head to Kuwait, tomorrow Thursday, to take part in the GCC men’s champion which will open November 23 and run until December 1.
Apart from Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar will take part in the championship, which will be held at Kuwait Club’s sport hall.
Led by Bahrain Basket Ball Association (BBA) teams’ committee chairman Ali Al-Khaja, the delegation includes board member Jalil Khudair, national team director Nooh Najaf, head coach Darko Russo and assistant coach Rayyan Al-Mahmoud.
The delegation also include twelve players � Ahmed Aziz, Ahmed Salman Ramadhan, Ahmed Najaf, Muzamel Ameer, Mohammed Ameer, Mustapha Hussein, Mohammed Bouallay, Badr Abdulla Jassim, Sabah Hussein, Mohammed Qurban, Hesham Sarhan and professional player C.J.
BBA Chairman Talal Kanoo attended part of the training sessions and reiterated full support to the national team to achieve honourable results in the GCC men’s championship in Kuwait.
The national squad will take on the UAE on Saturday (November 23), before playing Qatar (Nov 24), Saudi Arab (Nov27) and Kuwait (Nov 28). The semifinals will be held on November 30 and the final on December1.
