MANAMA, Bahrain, Bahrain’s Foreign Affairs’ Undersecretary of Regional & GCC Affairs, Ambassador Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, paid tribute to the solid bilateral ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Sudan, highlighted by progress promoted by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir.
This came as Ambassador Sayyar took part in the Political Consultation Committee meeting, held today in Khartoum, in the presence of Sudan’s Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Ambassador, Abdul Ghani Awad Al Kareem.
Addressing the meeting, Ambassador Sayyar stressed Bahrain’s keenness to further boost bilateral trade, economic relations, as well as, investment, through the activation of the signed agreements, in the framework of the Joint High Committee, in the interest of both countries and their people.
The two sides reviewed coordinating stances, towards regional and international issues of common concern.
Ambassador Sayyar hailed Sudan’s friendly stances, towards the Kingdom of Bahrain and a number of regional issues.
He emphasised Bahrain’s welcome to the US decision, on lifting sanctions on Sudan, wishing Sudan and its people, further progress and prosperity.
