Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) have signed a memorandum of understanding MoU) to train employees of the Abu Dhabi Police Finance and Services General Directorate on international best practices, and to raise their efficiency in accounting and financial planning.
The MoU was signed on behalf of Abu Dhabi Police by Major General Khalil Dawoud Badran, Director General of Finance and Services General Directorate, and Jack Fakhoury, the key partner and Chairman of the Middle East Region, PWC Representative.
After signing the MoU, Major General Badran stressed the keenness of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to develop abilities of human resources in compatible with the Ministry of Interior’s comprehensive strategic objectives.
He added that the Police GHQ is keen to raise the level of professionalism and technical efficiency of the Finance Directorate employees by providing them with high quality training programs in collaboration with experienced firms and technical consultations based in the State. These types of programs enable the Directorate to achieve its vision by ensuring its strategic plans and realizing its objectives.
He said the MoU aims to facilitate the exchange of information, strategies, action plans and initiatives and to cooperate in establishing and implementing a joint action plan to qualify and train the Finance and Services General Directorate’s employees in order to gain practical experience in this field.
Jack Fakhoury hailed the partnership with the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, stating that the MoU will enhance mutual cooperation in the accounting and technical training field and the rehabilitation of employees to obtain globally recognized professional qualifications through the PWC Academy for the Middle East.
